  • Verna was born September 14, 1936 in the Township of Como, Missouri, to Hurlie and Pearline Maddox. She attended school in Oklahoma. In 1950 she married Troy Klepper and had two daughters, Vickie and Donna. They resided in Kress, Tx where she was a housewife and mother. Later, she became a beautician. She later married Billy Lovell and bore him a daughter, Kim Lovell. They moved to Fort Worth in 1968 where Verna worked as a book keeper. In 1981 Verna acquired Southwest Secretarial and Answering Service and ran it from the garage of her home, which has evolved into the successful corporation that it is today known as Kim's Answering Service. Not only has her sharp business sense provided for the many employees that she has touched along the years. Verna has been friend, mentor and confidant to many of her employees. She was respected and loved by all. Her gentle tones and quick wit will be missed. She was more than an employer, she was a friend. They will carry on her legacy at Kim's and honor her memory by continuing to build the company Verna so loved. Verna was a member of Christ Church and loved the Lord. The family would like to express their thanks to Vitas Hospice.
